At The Way Ministries…John 14:6 everything is done in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen. This week as we launch the Internet ministry let us pray for the strength and the will to always obey God.
Our Father and our God in heaven. Hallowed be Your name. We thank You LORD for this day and this week, which we desire to experience to the fullest.
As believers, LORD, we often say that prayer is a two-way communication between You and us yet when we pray we tend to focus more on what we need from You than on what You command of us. Enable us LORD as we visit this site to pay more attention to what You command of us than to what we need from You. For on one occasion You commanded Your people to not have any other gods before You (Exodus 20:3). On another occasion, Jesus said, “…You cannot serve God and mammon” (Matthew 6:24).
LORD, as your people, on both occasions, I believe we heard You loud and clear. However, rather than be still and reflect on what You command of us we are often eager to run through our list of requests and sometimes feel justified to grumble when You do not come to our aid immediately. LORD, I know I have been guilty of this, for that I am sorry and ask for Your forgiveness.
Now that I understand that You want to be # 1 in my life, I pledge to put You first in obedience to Your Son Jesus who taught us to …not worry about … life, what to eat or drink, or what to put on… “But to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Matthew 6:25-33).
Now LORD, enable me to be faithful to this pledge. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
To our visitors: Let this prayer be yours as you receive it and personally offer it to God, Amen. If you have comments or questions please use this link email us to email us. Blessings.
