for the ability to pray and not be concerned about things that are beyond one’s control.
Weekly prayer of March 20, 2005.
At The Way Ministries…John 14:6 everything is done in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Our Father and our God in heaven. Hallowed be Your name. We thank You LORD for this week and for Your Son Jesus who made the ultimate sacrifice to redeem us from sin and from spiritual death. As we look ahead to commemorating Jesus’ experiences on the Cross at Calvary on Good Friday and His victory over death on Easter Sunday morning, it never seizes to amaze me that Jesus who is the supreme embodiment of unity and peace is the One that the world tends to misunderstand and disagree over the most. As that may be the case, can real unity and peace be achieved at home and abroad?
In response the LORD led me to Philippians 4:6, 7 which reads: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God; and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” I thank You LORD for Your words of encouragement and hope. LORD, please continue to guide my words, my thoughts, and my deeds and continue to grant me unity and peace in my uprising and down sitting. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
