The Way Ministries...John 14:6

Jesus said to him,

"... I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

- John 14:6 (NKJV)

Prayer for the will to let go and let God’s will be done in our lives.

Weekly prayer of March 27, 2005.

At The Way Ministries…John 14:6 everything is done in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Our Father and our God in heaven. Hallowed be Your name. We thank You LORD for this day and this season that is set aside to commemorate when You raised Your Son Jesus from the dead as a reminder that “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). The last three months have been tinted with encouragement and discouragement as we prayed for unity and peace at home and abroad. It was encouraging to know that unity and peace is about seeking Your kingdom and Your righteousness and being in one accord with our neighbors. It was discouraging to realize that as a people seeking unity and peace through You tend to be very difficult for us to do. Therefore, we need You to intervene and show us why and how we should let go and let You be God in our lives.

In response the LORD led me to Romans 6:23 which reads, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” He also led me to Proverbs 3:5 & 6 which read “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Last, He showed me that “without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6). On that note I asked God to forgive our pride and grant us the will to make Him God in our lives through the risen Christ our Lord and Savior. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
