The Way Ministries...John 14:6
Prayer for peace and unity with God and our neighbors.
Weekly prayer of April 24, 2005.
At The Way Ministries…John 14:6 everything is done in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Our Father and our God in heaven. Hallowed be Your name. We thank You LORD for this day and this week. We thank You for Your Son Jesus who gives peace to believers not in the fashion of the world (John 14:27 ) but in Your fashion which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
In the name of Jesus, we pray for men, women, and children that suffer silently and may turn from You either due to illness, or fear, or due to the lack of love or, the lack of wisdom, and knowledge, and understanding of Your word.
Whatever the case, remind all that “labor and are heavy laden” that they can find rest in Jesus (Matthew 11:28 ) who’s yoke is easy and who’s burden is light (Matthew 11:30 ).
Assure all that “even though the earth be removed and the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea… as in the Tsunami earthquake, that there is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God . The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved. And God shall help her, just at the break of dawn” (Psalm 46:2-5).
We thank you O LORD for Your word which is lamp to our feet and light to our paths (Psalm 119:105). We further thank You for the peace and eternal life that come through Christ our Lord (John 3:16 , Romans 6:23 ).
In Jesus’ name let Your word continually bring us peace and unite us with You and our neighbors. Let Your word enable us to seek You with our whole heart and soul (Deuteronomy 4:29 ), in the church and community, and at home and abroad. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen. Isn’t God good?
