The Way Ministries...John 14:6
Prayer for unity, peace, salvation, and discipleship.
Weekly prayer of May 1, 2005.
At The Way Ministries…John 14:6 everything is done in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Our Father and our God in heaven. Hallowed be Your name. We thank You LORD for this first day of the first week of the fifth month of the year of our Lord 2005. As we seek You and continue to pray for unity and peace we are reminded to give thanks in all things for that is Your will for us in Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:18). We thank You LORD for that scripture. It shows that no matter how bleak life may be You are in total control and we have a duty to fear You and to keep Your commandments… For You will bring every work into judgment including every secret thing, whether good or evil (Ecclesiastes 12:13, 14).
I thank You LORD for knowing that while it is my calling to pray and preach the gospel, it is the Holy Spirit that “convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment” (John 16:8). In the name of Jesus, I pray for that man, woman, or child that don’t believe in You simply because You are invisible and intangible to them. I also pray for that man, woman, or child that believes in You but don’t live life according to Your word (James 1:22-25). In Jesus’ name, touch each person and help him or her overcome whatever hinders them from believing in You and letting Your word guide and direct their path (Psalm 119:105).
Remind all that according to Jesus, “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned” (Mark 16:16). Also according to Jesus, “if anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered, and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned” (John 15:6). Thus, to know that, and to be passive about Your kingdom amounts to playing with fire or taking sides with the enemy. In Jesus’ name forgive all that are guilty of this and grant to all that ask, unity and peace and the desire to be saved and to abide in Jesus. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
