The Way Ministries...John 14:6
Prayer for unity and peace for all fathers.
Weekly prayer of June 19, 2005.
At The Way Ministries…John 14:6 everything is done in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Our Father and our God in heaven. Hallowed be Your name. We thank You LORD for the opportunity to honor those we call father on this day that is set aside to serve and worship You. We thank you for Your Son Jesus who is “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6) for all that believes in Him, even the fatherless. We honor You, we praise You, and we glorify You, for Your goodness, Your mercy, and Your love.
Like life, we acknowledge that fatherhood is not always fun and games. Thus, we humble ourselves before You and we ask for wisdom, and for guidance, and protection for all earthly fathers. O LORD, enable all fathers to seek after You. Enable us to have a taste of Your goodness that we will desire none else, but You. Bless us in our uprising and down sitting. Protect us in our going out and coming in. Watch over our households and watch over us while we sleep. Strengthen us where we are weak. Heal us of any ailments that might hinder us from knowing You and loving You with our whole heart, and soul, and mind, and strength (Mark 12:30 ). And enable us O LORD to fulfill our responsibilities to You, to our children, and to the mother(s) of our children.
Continue O LORD to grant strength and assurance to the fatherless and the childless among us. Let Your unconditional love draw all that call You father and all that are called father to You and to Your Son Jesus Christ. And in all we do, grant us true unity, and true peace. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
