The Way Ministries...John 14:6
Prayer for peace and freedom for all.
Weekly prayer of July 3, 2005.
At The Way Ministries…John 14:6 everything is done in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Our Father and our God in heaven. Hallowed be Your name. We thank You LORD for a new day, a new week, and a new month. We thank You for the level of independence or freedom that we share in this country. There is no question that life in the material sense is better here than in some other countries. For that we rejoice and we are grateful. For that also we pray for progress and advancement for people all over the world. We thank You for Your many blessings and for nourishing us physically with food, water, and air. More importantly, we need You to nourish us spiritually with Your word. Help us O LORD to abide in Your word. Help us to become disciples of Christ. Help us to know the truth for according to Jesus knowing the truth shall make us free (John 8:31, 32). What a promise!
Based upon that promise and based upon our faith in Christ we pray that people will have the heart for Your word and for Your Son, Jesus. We pray that they will find it in their hearts to trust in You and not rely on their own understanding. We pray that in all their ways they will acknowledge You and You shall direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5, 6).
This week as we celebrate Independence Day, we pray for peace and freedom at home and abroad. We pray that people will embrace Your kingdom and Your righteousness over all other desires. Help us O LORD to do unto others whatever we want others to do unto us (Matthew 7:12). And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. We love You LORD and we bless You. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
