The Way Ministries...John 14:6

Jesus said to him,

"... I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

- John 14:6 (NKJV)

Prayer for the ability to walk worthy of your calling and to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Weekly prayer of July 10, 2005.

At The Way Ministries…John 14:6 everything is done in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Our Father and our God in heaven. Hallowed be Your name. We thank You LORD for this day and this week. I thank You for making unity and peace the prayer focus for 2005. Since January You have revealed a great deal about unity and peace to us. However, we still don’t understand it all. You revealed that unity is to be one in worship and to be one with other believers. How feasible is that given the many denominations that make up Your body and the different faith systems and approaches to worship?

In response the LORD used Ephesians 4:1-3 to show us that we should be more concerned about doing what He commands and less concerned about determining the outcome. Ephesians 4:1-3 commands us

to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Based upon God’s word, I glorified Him and asked for the wisdom and the courage to always adhere to His commands. Thank You O LORD for enabling me to hear You when You speak to me. Enable me also to always understand You and to believe in You and in my ability to “do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). Enable me to walk worthy of my calling and to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace . We thank You for Your commands and we bless You for Your love and for Your protection. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

To our visitors: Let this prayer be yours as you receive it and personally offer it to God, Amen.
