The Way Ministries...John 14:6
Prayer for healthy marriages by faith in Jesus Christ.
Weekly prayer of August 28, 2005.
At The Way Ministries…John 14:6 everything is done in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Our Father and our God in heaven. Hallowed be Your name. We thank You LORD for the last Sunday and the last week of August 2005. It’s amazing how fast time flies and how little time, there is, when we have important and challenging tasks at hand. Tasks like raising a family and maintaining a healthy and lasting relationship with You and family members.
Ironically, we tend to let go of You and Your word, and let self get in the way of understanding and carrying out our responsibilities to You and to family members. Yet we complain about the number of broken marriages and dysfunctional families worldwide. Today, it is not uncommon for husbands and wives to be distant from one another nor for them to be the source of the pain and agony in their relationship. Unfortunately, where children are involved, they often end up with the short end of the stick.
We realize that relationships are what we make of them. In the name of Jesus, I pray for that couple that think they have to deal with the challenge of becoming one in holy matrimony alone. I pray that they understand quickly that help is as easy as calling upon the name of Jesus. I pray that they can look at Jesus’ relationship with the church and learn how a husband and wife should relate to each other. I ask You LORD to please show us how much healthier marriages would be with You at the center. Please enable us to model our marriages after Jesus’ relationship with the church (Ephesians 5:1-33). We love You LORD and we bless You. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
To our visitors: Let this prayer be yours as you receive it and personally offer it to God, Amen.
