- John 14:6 (NKJV)

Prayer for pastors and ministers health and the courage to do God's will.

Weekly prayer of October 2, 2005.

At The Way Ministries…John 14:6 everything is done in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Our Father and our God in heaven. Hallowed be Your name. We thank You LORD for a new week and a new month. We thank You for a month that has traditionally been set-aside for believers to show their appreciation for those whom You have called to preach the gospel (Romans 10:15). We pray for ministers of the gospel and for pastors and associate pastors all over the world. Although the world today is nowhere near what it could be, yet some of us have come a long way since Your Son Jesus walked on the earth. For that we give You praise. We shout Alleluia. And we glorify Your holy name.

This week we especially thank You for “those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things” (Romans 10:15). The world is also a better place today because of their obedience and faithfulness. And by Your grace I am also one of them. In Jesus’ name anoint us like only You can, empower us, protect us, and always reveal Yourself and Your will to us. When in trouble, enable us to be still and to know that You are God (Psalm 46:10). When afraid, remind us that You have “not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). When in doubt, show us that “without faith it is impossible to please You, for he who comes to You must believe that You exist, and that You reward those who diligently seek God (Hebrews 11:6).

What a mighty God we serve! What a faithful God we serve! What a loving God we serve! In our uprising and down sitting, bless us Your servants, like only You can. In going out and coming in, always give us direction and protection, and the health and the courage to do Your will. Furthermore, grant us the wisdom, the knowledge, and the understanding of how best to communicate Your love to the world. We thank You LORD for Your compassion, Your mercy, and Your goodness. We know that no matter our experiences in life, You will never forsake us, nor abandon us, if we abide in your word (Mathew 28:20, John 8:31-32, John 15: 6-7). We thank You LORD for that assurance. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
