The Way Ministries...John 14:6
Prayer of thanksgiving for the honor and privilege to communicate with God.
Weekly prayer of November 13, 2005.
At The Way Ministries…John 14:6 everything is done in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Our father and our God in heaven. Hallowed be Your name. We thank you LORD for a day and week we have never seen before. We are continuing to work and pray for the world and for Your people. We pray because we know that You hear and answer our prayers. Sometimes we are so amazed by the manner and magnitude of Your response that talking about it seems to take away from it. So instead we will just praise and glorify You for Your goodness and ample blessings, Amen.
We do not pray because of what we might receive from You. We pray because Your word says to “…pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all… and to pray without ceasing…” (1 Thessalonians 5:15-17). We believe in One, true and living God who was in the beginning with the Father, through whom all things were made, and without whom nothing was made that was made (John 1:1-3). We believe in a loving relationship with God, our neighbor, and ourselves. We pray for wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. For unity, peace, and good health. For faith, hope and love. For protection, provision, and guidance. And we desire these things for ourselves and for all.
In hearing our requests, enable us to always humble ourselves before You and pray and seek Your face, and turn from our wicked ways that You will hear us from heaven and forgive our sins and heal our land (2 Chronicles 7:14). It is indeed an honor and privilege to communicate with You. We thank You LORD and we bless You for the honor and privilege. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
To our visitors: Let this prayer be yours as you receive it and personally offer it to God, Amen. If you said and offered this prayer to God and desire to thank God for the honor and privilege of communicating with Him, then submit yourself to God through Christ and to the teaching and guidance of His word.
