The Way Ministries...John 14:6
Prayer for the ability to walk by faith and not by sight.
Weekly prayer of December 4, 2005.
At The Way Ministries…John 14:6 everything is done in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Our Father and our God in heaven. Hallowed be Your name. We thank you LORD for this day and for the desire to always seek You. We are grateful for the opportunity to worship You in spirit and in truth (John 4:24 ). We worship You as the only One, true and living God who was in the beginning with the Father, through whom all things were made, and without whom nothing was made that was made (John 1:1-3). We worship You for knowledge, wisdom and understanding (Psalm 19:2, Proverbs 4:5). We walk with You for unity and peace (Ephesians 4:4-6). We abide in Your word for faith, hope and love (1 Corinthians 13:13 ). We pray to You for protection, provision, and guidance. As we follow You and seek these blessings, enable us to humble ourselves before You and pray and seek Your face, and turn from our wicked ways so that You will hear our prayers from heaven and forgive our sins and heal our land (2 Chronicles 7:14 ).
We thank You for Your Son Jesus. We thank You for the stripes He bore for our healing (Isaiah 53:5). We thank You for His sufferings and death for the forgiveness of our sins (John 1:29 ). We thank You for His resurrection from the dead for salvation and everlasting life (John 3:16 , 1 Corinthians 15:20 -22). We thank You for knowing that “if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleans us from all unrighteousness” 1 John 1:9). What a loving and merciful God we serve, Amen!
A God that forgives our shortcomings. A God that heals the sick and strengthens the weak. A God that gives hope to the hopeless and courage to the cowardly. A God that provides food where hunger abounds and provides shelter where homelessness prevails. And a God that grants peace where there is trouble and unity where there is disarray.
How at peace we are because You have ultimate control of our lives. How loving we become because You first loved us. How trusting we aspire to be because You are a promise keeper. And how grateful we are for giving us Jesus as our rock, our fortress and our redeemer. We thank You, and we bless You, and we praise You for the things You do. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
