The Way Ministries...John 14:6

Jesus said to him,

"... I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

- John 14:6 (NKJV)

Prayer for the abundant life that Jesus offers.

Weekly prayer of December 11, 2005.

At The Way Ministries…John 14:6 everything is done in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Our Father and our God in heaven. Hallowed be Your name. We thank You LORD for another opportunity to call on Your holy name. The name that is above all names in heaven and on earth (Philippians 2:10). Recently, You showed us that the thief came to steal, and to kill, and to destroy but Jesus came that we may have life and that we may have it more abundantly (John 10:10 ).

LORD, we believe there are people that desire the abundant life that Jesus offers but do not want to give up their earthly lifestyle. Help us to understand that the abundant life of Jesus is not meant for the righteous but for sinners. For according to Jesus “I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance” (Matthew 9:13 ). We thank You LORD for Your unconditional love towards sinners and towards the rich that receive You with joy as shown in Jesus’ encounter with Zacchaeus the Chief tax collector (Luke 19:1-10). We thank You for revealing to us that despite the complaints of people like the Pharisees, “the Son of man has come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10 ). For that we say Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

Now that we understand why Jesus came and how to receive the abundant life that Jesus offers, enable us to also have the desire to receive that life. In the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

To our visitors: Let this prayer be yours as you receive it and personally offer it to God, Amen.
